What is the general ipad price in nigeria for a basic 9th generation model suitable for kids e-learning?

My children are transitioning to digital learning, and their school requires them to have a tablet for downloading educational apps, reading PDF textbooks, and participating in Zoom classes. I have tried cheap Android tablets in the past, but they break easily or become unbearably slow after a few months. I have decided to invest in an Apple iPad for its durability and smooth performance. I am looking at the basic iPad (9th Generation). Could someone provide the current ipad price in nigeria for the 64GB Wi-Fi only model? Is 64GB sufficient for just school work and a few games? Also, how much does a durable, kid-proof rugged case cost in the market?

For children e-learning, knowing the general ipad price in nigeria is the first step to making a great investment. The standard iPad 9th Generation (10.2-inch display) is currently the best value tablet in the world. A brand new 64GB Wi-Fi model costs between 450,000 and 520,000 Naira. This device features the powerful A13 Bionic chip, which means it runs educational apps, Zoom video calls, and complex 3D games effortlessly without any lag. Unlike cheap Android tablets that become sluggish and obsolete in a year, the iPad 9th Gen will remain incredibly fast and receive Apple software updates for at least five more years. 64GB is perfectly sufficient for a child since school documents, PDFs, and a few games do not consume massive amounts of storage.

When factoring in the ipad price in nigeria, you must absolutely budget for heavy-duty protection, especially for children. The iPad glass is large and fragile. A rugged, kid-proof case made of thick shock-absorbing EVA foam (often with a built-in handle that doubles as a stand) will cost you about 15,000 to 25,000 Naira in tech markets. Do not hand the iPad to a child without this case and a tempered glass screen guard installed. A broken iPad screen costs over 100,000 Naira to replace. Additionally, the 9th Gen iPad supports the Apple Pencil 1st Generation (which costs about 120,000 Naira), allowing your kids to practice drawing and digital handwriting, making it an incredible educational tool.

I bought the 9th Gen iPad for my kids online classes during the pandemic. It is still working perfectly today. The battery life is amazing; it lasts almost 10 hours of continuous screen time on a single charge.

Ensure you set up "Screen Time" and parental controls in the Apple settings before giving it to them. You can block adult websites, restrict downloading new apps, and set a daily time limit for games.

Do not buy the Wi-Fi + Cellular version unless you plan to put a SIM card in it for traveling. The Wi-Fi only version is much cheaper, and you can simply connect the iPad to your phone hotspot when they need internet outside the house.
