What is the realistic ipad pro price in nigeria for the M1 or M2 chip versions to replace my laptop?

I am a freelance graphic designer and video editor. Carrying my heavy Windows laptop to client meetings and coffee shops is becoming very stressful. I am seriously considering replacing my laptop entirely with an iPad Pro, specifically the 11-inch or 12.9-inch models with the powerful M1 or M2 Apple Silicon chips. I know these devices are extremely expensive. What is the realistic ipad pro price in nigeria right now? Additionally, I will need the Apple Pencil 2 and the Magic Keyboard to complete the laptop experience. When factoring in these expensive accessories, does the total cost make sense compared to just buying an M2 MacBook Air? I need advice from professional creatives in Nigeria.

For a professional creative looking to replace a laptop, the realistic ipad pro price in nigeria is steep but justifiable. An M2 iPad Pro 11-inch (128GB Wi-Fi) currently costs around 1.1 to 1.3 Million Naira. The larger 12.9-inch version with the stunning Mini-LED display starts around 1.5 Million Naira. These devices are incredibly powerful. The M2 chip inside the iPad is the exact same desktop-class processor found in Apple MacBook computers. For a video editor using apps like DaVinci Resolve or LumaFusion, or a graphic designer using Procreate and Adobe Illustrator, the iPad Pro handles heavy 4K video rendering and massive multi-layered canvas files with absolute ease, outperforming many Windows laptops in speed and fluidity.

However, evaluating the ipad pro price in nigeria requires looking at the total package cost. The iPad Pro alone is just a tablet. To replace a laptop, you need accessories. The Apple Pencil 2 (essential for designers) costs about 150,000 Naira. The Apple Magic Keyboard (essential for typing and trackpad use) costs a massive 400,000 to 500,000 Naira. So, a complete 11-inch setup will cost you roughly 1.7 Million Naira. For that exact price, you could buy a brand new M2 MacBook Air, which has a larger battery, comes with a built-in keyboard, and runs full desktop MacOS software instead of the more restrictive iPadOS. The iPad Pro is unparalleled for drawing and touch-first creativity, but for file management and traditional computing, the MacBook is still superior.

I am an illustrator and the iPad Pro changed my life. Drawing directly on the screen with the Apple Pencil 2 in Procreate feels exactly like drawing on paper with zero lag. It is worth every single kobo.

If you are just editing videos and typing documents, buy an M1 MacBook Air instead. The iPad file management system is still very frustrating when trying to organize large gigabytes of video footage from an external hard drive.

If you want to save money, look for a UK used M1 iPad Pro 11-inch. The M1 chip is already overwhelmingly powerful, and you will barely notice any difference compared to the M2. A used M1 costs around 750,000 Naira.
