What is the realistic macbook air price in nigeria for the M1 chip version and is it still worth buying today?
I am a digital marketer and content writer. I am tired of carrying heavy Windows laptops that die after two hours of use. Everyone recommends the Apple MacBook Air with the M1 chip because of its legendary battery life and silent operation. Since it was released a few years ago, I am wondering if it is still a smart purchase. What is the current macbook air price in nigeria for the base M1 model with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage? Given the release of the M2 and M3 chips, has the price of the M1 dropped significantly in the Nigerian market? I need advice from people who currently use this exact machine for their daily work.

1 day agoThe macbook air price in nigeria for the M1 version remains the best technology investment you can make today. Even though it was released in late 2020, the M1 chip is still vastly superior to most brand new Intel laptops on the market. A brand new, sealed MacBook Air M1 (8GB RAM, 256GB SSD) currently retails between 1.1 Million and 1.3 Million Naira. A clean UK used unit with good battery health costs about 800,000 to 950,000 Naira. To answer your question: Yes, it is absolutely still worth buying. For a digital marketer and content writer, you will never hear a fan noise because it does not have a cooling fan—it is completely silent. More importantly, the battery easily lasts 12 to 15 hours of continuous typing and web browsing. You can literally leave your charger at home when going to the office.

1 day agoWhen evaluating the macbook air price in nigeria, you must understand the limitations of the base model. The 8GB of RAM on an Apple Silicon chip is highly optimized and performs more like 16GB on a Windows machine. It handles dozens of Chrome tabs seamlessly. However, the 256GB storage fills up very quickly if you save large files. Apple storage cannot be upgraded later because the SSD is soldered directly to the motherboard. If you plan to edit videos in the future, you must buy an external hard drive. Also, when buying a UK used M1 MacBook Air, check the "Battery Cycle Count" in the system settings. A cycle count under 200 means the battery is still very fresh. If the cycle count is above 500, negotiate a heavy discount because the battery has degraded significantly.

1 day agoI am a copywriter and I bought the M1 Air a year ago for 850k used. Best decision ever. The battery life is like magic. NEPA can take light for two days and I am still working comfortably without a generator.

1 day agoDo not bother buying the M2 MacBook Air unless you care about the slightly newer design. The M1 chip is so powerful that for standard marketing work, you will notice zero difference in speed between the M1 and M2.
