What is the standard zebra or day and night window blinds price in nigeria for a standard window size?
I just rented a new apartment and the windows are bare. I completely hate traditional fabric curtains because they gather too much dust and require stressful washing. I want to install the modern Zebra blinds (also known as Day and Night blinds) because they look very corporate and allow you to adjust the sunlight perfectly. I need to know how the pricing works. What is the current window blinds price in nigeria per square meter? If my living room has two standard 4 by 4 feet sliding windows, roughly how much should I budget for high-quality blinds with metal installation brackets? Do vendors typically charge extra for taking measurements and installing them?

1 day agoFor modern apartments, the window blinds price in nigeria is calculated strictly per square meter, not per window. Day and Night blinds (also known as Zebra blinds) are currently the most popular choice for living rooms. They feature alternating stripes of sheer and solid fabric, allowing you to perfectly control privacy and sunlight. For high-quality, durable Zebra blinds, expect to pay between 12,000 and 18,000 Naira per square meter. A standard 4 by 4 feet sliding window is roughly 1.5 square meters. Therefore, for two 4x4 windows (totaling 3 square meters), the material cost will be around 36,000 to 54,000 Naira. This price usually covers the fabric, the top metal casing (cassette), the weighted bottom bar, and the beaded pulling chain. If you want motorized blinds controlled by a remote, the price per square meter jumps to over 35,000 Naira.

1 day agoWhen evaluating the total window blinds price in nigeria, you must factor in the installation process. Most professional interior decor vendors will charge an installation fee, which is usually around 5,000 to 10,000 Naira depending on your location in the city. The installation is crucial because the metal brackets must be drilled perfectly level into your concrete wall or POP window frame using wall plugs. If they are installed slightly crooked, the fabric will fray on the edges when you roll it up and down. A major tip: When the vendor comes to take measurements, instruct them to add an extra 3 to 4 inches to the width and height of the actual window frame. This ensures the blind completely covers the edges of the window, preventing annoying rays of sunlight from bleeding through the sides when you want the room pitch dark.

1 day agoI ditched my heavy fabric curtains for dark grey Zebra blinds in my living room last month. The transformation is amazing. The room looks twice as large and much more corporate. It cost me 15k per square meter including installation.

1 day agoBeware of the very cheap 7,000 Naira per square meter blinds sold in traffic. The fabrics tear easily, but more importantly, the rolling mechanism inside the metal casing is made of cheap plastic that shatters after a few months, leaving the blind permanently stuck halfway down.

1 day agoZebra blinds are fantastic for the living room, but for the bedroom, you might want to look at "Blackout Roller Blinds". Zebra blinds still let a tiny bit of light through the sheer stripes. Blackout blinds block 100 percent of the sun so you can sleep perfectly during the day.
