How does the compensation and safety culture at Lafarge Africa – Lagos compare to other major cement companies?

I am a Health, Safety, and Environment officer currently working in the oil and gas servicing sector. I want to transition to manufacturing and I am considering Lafarge Africa – Lagos. Because cement manufacturing involves heavy machinery and hazardous materials, safety protocols are my primary concern. Does Lafarge truly enforce global Holcim safety standards at their Nigerian plants, or is it just on paper? Furthermore, how does their salary structure and annual leave allowance compare to their biggest competitor in the Nigerian market? I need insights from current engineering or HSE staff.

If any staff member, from a cleaner to a manager, spots an unsafe condition on the plant, they have the absolute authority to halt production immediately without fear of being fired.
