Working for a French multinational oil giant is a dream. I am interviewing for a commercial role at TotalEnergies Nigeria – Lagos headquarters in Victoria Island. How fast is career progression for local staff? Do they frequently send Nigerian employees to Paris or other African countries for cross-training? How robust is the staff housing and vehicle loan policy?

Career progression for local staff is very structured. While it might take a few years to reach senior management, the journey is highly rewarding. TotalEnergies is famous for its cross-posting program. If you excel in Lagos, there is a very high probability you will be sent on an expatriate assignment to their global headquarters in Paris, or to other major hubs like Angola or Uganda. This international exposure is priceless for your career.

The expatriate and local packages at TotalEnergies are legendary.
