LG Dual Inverter AC is the best investment for prepaid meter owners in Nigeria

The LG Dual Inverter is pure magic. I was highly skeptical of the marketing, but it truly cuts electricity consumption by half. You can literally hear the compressor slow down to a whisper once the room gets cold.

Another massive benefit of the LG Inverter AC is the Gen-Cool feature. You can press a button on the remote to limit the AC power draw to 40 percent. This allows me to run a 1.5HP AC comfortably on my small 3.5KVA petrol generator without overloading it.

Ensure you use a heavy-duty stabilizer! The inverter board (PCB) inside the LG AC is extremely sensitive to voltage spikes. If NEPA restores power with high voltage, it will fry the board, and replacing the PCB costs over 150,000 Naira.

I bought mine directly from the Fouani showroom in Victoria Island. They sent their official technicians to install it. Never let a roadside AC mechanic install an Inverter AC; if they do not vacuum the copper pipes properly, the compressor will fail prematurely.

Hisense also makes good inverter ACs that are slightly cheaper, but LG holds the crown for durability in the Nigerian climate. The copper condenser coils on the LG outdoor unit resist rust much better than cheaper brands.
